Vaishno Devi invites you to her abode!
62Sometimes journeys are more important than the destination. The aura of the devotional songs, colourful people, and smiling faces can change your attitude towards spiritualism. You cannot resist singing and dancing with them and get lost in their devotion of Goddess Shakti. In the tour packages India, Vaishno Devi Yatra is one place in India where you love to make a pilgrimage. No matter how steep the incline is, you can pass through it with a little effort.
People have strong beliefs that no one comes empty handed from the temple of Vaishno Devi. They are convinced that the blessings of Mother Goddess include the possession of Dharma (Righteousness), Arth (Material Pursuits), Kaam (Contentment) and Moksha (Enlightenment). This is the only factor responsible for the mad rush of people visiting the temple every year!
The interesting part for the ones who are visiting this temple for the first time is that there is a story going on with the pilgrimage. There is significance behind each stoppage which enhances its value even more.
Let’s start from the beginning. As you think about starting the pilgrimage, you reach Baanganga where Mata Vaishno quenched her thirst thus making it holy water since then. Make sure you carry a Yatra slip from Yatra Registration Counter at the Tourism Reception Centre, Katra Bus Stand without which you would not be allowed to cross Baanganga check post. At a distance of around 6 km, you will see Adhkawari which is the most celebrated stoppage in the whole pilgrimage.
There is a holy cave there built on its own with not even slight artificialities. Mother goddess hid here for nine months. People wait for hours to get into this cave and it is worth the wait of hours and days! Last but not least, you reach the Bhawan and the entire wait to get a single glimpse of Mata Vaishno Devi is delightfully over. Here the larger than life event happened when goddess merged her human form with the astral form.
This 13 km long journey in the Tour of India is a fun ride on foot. Devotees even go bare footed sometimes depending on their level of devotion. There are options of hiring canvas shoes or caps as well. Your comfort level is decided by you. You can also take Pithus for carrying your luggage or palanquin for the ones who do not have enough physical strength. Do take into consideration that you hire the registered people only to be on the safer side. Now the infrastructure has reached a niche level with various cafeterias, shelters, lamps, medical facilities etc.
It is very rare occurrence that God invites you to her abode and whenever you visit this temple, you realise that God loves you the most!

That is very nice. I haven't seen the tour but I've heard about the places.
